Today, I want to go over my progress using the app Shopkick. If you missed out on my previous sexy post (not really) about it click here. On that post, I also discussed other apps I am using to make some money and/or get rewarded while I shop.
Shopkick is an app for smartphones where you get points (kicks) for scanning items, purchasing, walkins and more.
This is how I am using Shopkick:
Each time I visit Walmart, I open the Shopkick app, click on the store and check what items I need to scan in order to get "kicks". The reward I am working for is a Target giftcard and so far I have 600 "kicks." One of the items was a People Magazine with Robin Roberts on the cover. Found the magazine and scanned it and got me some "kicks." Did I mentioned that unlike other programs out there you don't have to buy the merchandise. WHAT?!?! Cray Cray, I know! That's why is so much fun.
Last Friday I headed to Target and got me some "kicks" point just for walking inside a Target.
You can make as low as 200 points on one shopping trip without even purchasing the items.
"How does Shopkick know where you are?" ask noone.
Shopkick reads your mind. JK
Shopkick uses your phone GPS. It searches for businesses near you that will give you "kicks." I tend to use my Shopkick app at Target, Walmart, and CVS. The app contains other businesses as well. For example Best Buy, Rite Aid and more. I am just giving you an example of where I have been using the program.
Today, I am planning a Target trip. I checked my Shopkick and the items required for "kicks" are Kraft Macaronic & Cheese Dinner, Hot Pockets and more. Oh, and I get 20 "kicks" for walking inside.
Now you all know how to have fun and get rewarded while shopping. I recommend this app. Now you know another of my saving secrets.
